As always the elite few , be it religion , kingship or politics dictate what society we live in and then rigidly enforce it upon the populace until complying is the only option. The system of millennia of ruthlessly applied edicts is so ingrained that few can see an alternative. Even revolutions fail to fundamentally alter society. Why ? Hierarchy !!! The pyramidical control structure imposed upon man in our distant past. Granted some primitive peoples managed to evade the system but the expansion of society has almost wiped them off the map. Why are we OK with that ? Primarily , there is NO choice in the matter. Few have the vision to even imagine an alternative and none ( as of now ) have the power or ability to change either the mindset of the people OR the system. I confess , Im constantly stumped in the challenge of HOW to alter a system that makes alternative thinking heresy , anathema...................conspiracy. Be the change you want to see and all that. Sadly , until the vast majority of the planet ALSO walk that path little is going to change in society. Especially when there ARE both subtle and gross pressures and manipulations from the top of the pyramid down. Frankly we dont change the system , we dont save the system......................we ignore the system insomuch as we are able and deny it our cooperation , our trust and our obedience.
