As always, you, the ER clubbers didn’t let us down, apparently other promoters are jealous of the loyalty that you have to us and the following that we have…and so they should be ! All the hard work the ER team do in order to put on and promote the nights is all made worthwhile when every one of you dances all night long with smiles on your faces. Starting us off was X-Static DJ who played some mental tunes and warmed up ready for our residents The Fierce DJ’s, as usual they played an excellent set which was flawless from beginning to end. Rachel Auburn was due on next but unfortunately after travelling down on the train and getting to the hotel, she was very poorly with a bad headache and throwing up so was unable to play. I was really looking forward to her set but these things happen and nothing anyone could do. Luckily Steve Thomas was on hand to start his set earlier for us and as someone said to me on the dance floor “I’d forgotten how good he was” showing us exactly why he was a Monastery resident and what a set he played ! Steve played longer than planned and then came Andy Farley, he too played longer to cover Rachel’s set, another Monastery Favourite, he kept the madness going and the dance floor full just like back in the day, always did and always will give our crowd exactly what they want. Last set was The Bassline Animals, their first time playing for ER, they didn’t just keep the dance floor full, they had every clubber from all over the venue, both floors, up and stomping to the very end and I can’t ask better than that. So thanks to all the DJ’s and of course MC Twisted who was the perfect host for the night ! I need to thank the ER team for their help and hard work to pull off this event, as usual I couldn’t do it without them And of course, you, the clubbers who support us every single time and make it all worthwhile. We are having a few weeks off before we start work on the next event which will be ER’s first birthday, sometime in November, so until then xx
