As an African who was born and raised in Africa joining this group and having discussions with Africans at the diaspora on how to help Africa is like having discussions with a man born n bred on the moon to draw a plan on how to save earth. All they know is what theyve read. There are stuffs herethat are not in your academic curriculums. The Africa you know in books and internet is quite diff from de Africa in reality. If you really want to contribute to our post-colonial development, please have de decency to pay us a visit-be exposed to Real Africanism. Here in Africa, people see thkngs a lil diff from how u see things. People here in Africa even have perceptions that Africans at the diaspora are still in slavery and that is why they dont get time to even visit their parent homes. I have never step foot in de US but I have been trying to know more about how far my distant brothers out there are doing. Too bad, de white lady at your embassy is refusing me access( for her own personal reasons). I am an Ashanti( from de royal Oyoko clan in Ghana). The least I could afford to help is to help some of you out in case you would want to visit our land. I could give you a free tour of my country. But the best place to start is Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Uganda and Ghana. Feel free to contact me. Thanks
