As an American I am angered to see for the past 48 hours the amount of racist rage from every race. Whites, Blacks, Asian, Mexican, Indian, European, Etc. Have all chosen a side and are calling people on the opposing end a racist. It is a sad day to be an American. People are missing the clear issue here. The media is dividing us as a nation. Did this child deserve to die because of his actions? No, no one deserves to die. But did the officer do his job wrong for the position he was put in? No. According to witnesses he was attacked and in fear for his life. He shot at his torso, that is where anyone who is trained to shoot would shoot because it is less likely to miss. Did he possibly use excessive force, yes. But we were not there and will not be there on his judgement day. This story has made headlines for the opposite color of these peoples skin. I know growing up I was taught not to see color. Only if someone is a good person or not. Take away their skin color and what do you have? An officer killing a child. And that should be their outrage. The choices you make every day will impact your life. Choose them wisely.
