As an aging reformed NFL fan, I find this fascinating. When I was a kid, pre-Panthers-Jaguars, with the Falcons only an unruly upstart as hapless as baseballs Braves, my SC community (and family) was split between Cowboys, Redskins, and Dolphins. There seems to be a residual Cowboy presence in SC, including my home county of Mccormick. But no more love for the Redskins? Guess they really are on the wrong side of history.
