As an unemployed, today I am engaged in the socially acceptable emotional response to unemployment: blaming myself. Im just not trying hard enough. Its my own fault. I may blame the system for others unemployment, but not my own. In the past, I never wanted a job in the first place, but I did work and I did hold down jobs. Maybe there were a few times that I wanted a job, but largely I was merely not too stupid to turn down work. I never turn down work or job offers, but Im not trying hard enough to find it. Evidently.
