As crews continue the fire-fight, a vigorous cold front passed through the state overnight. As Thomas Oriti reports. After yesterdays scorching heat and wind gusts peaking at 100 kilometres an hour, fire investigators are arriving from interstate to help assess the damage. Rural Fire Service Deputy Commissioner Rob Rogers says crews will be kept busy today. The problems are far from over, and we have numerous containment issues as well as properties. More than 90 fires are burning across the state, mostly in the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Lithgow regions. 20 are out of control. Dmitri Danchuk from the Weather Bureau says todays conditions should help firefighters take the upper hand. The whole state will be in the wake of the cold front, effectively meaning that temperatures will be much cooler. So far, there are no reports of any lives lost. news.ninemsn.au/national/2013/10/17/19/18/dozens-of-homes-lost-in-nsw-bushfire-emergency
