As expected, in the Old Navy audition, I was asked to tell the group (it was a group interview) about my previous work experience. Upon finishing, we were asked to give a fun fact about ourselves. My fun fact was that Id made the pants I was wearing. JACKPOT! Stand up for me, the manager asked. Model for us, pitched in the hiring manager. *ooohs, ahhhs and wows* VERY nice, added the manager, Donna. I kept looking down thinking when did we get those? The two managers talked back in forth about how my pants look like the new pixie pants that just came off the truck this morning. All in all, it was a great experience. And as usual, I knew at least one person upon arrival. Had my homie Jilian Alesia Edm in the interview too and come to find out Tiff (conte/cross) works their too. The tasks were right up my alley, create an outfit, convince me to buy this, etc, etc. Upon leaving the audition, Donna, the store manager stops me and says, Im going to need those pants - 30,000 of them! Were gunna sell them. ;) Lets just say a girl got their attention, and real early on at that. Whether I get the job or not, Im content with todays feedback. Old navys manager wants to mass produce and manufacture MY pants - envisioned, designed and sewn by me! Thats an accomplishment in itself.. Their jeans have names like Diva, Rockstar, Superstar, and sales associates are referred to as sell-ebrities. That being said, I think my pants will be called Fashionista. Stay tuned, Im coming to an old navy store near you. Just watch :)
