As far as odd friendships go, I have my fair share - few have - TopicsExpress

As far as odd friendships go, I have my fair share - few have started as tamely and turned out so interestingly as that I have with Scott Underwood. When we first met he was already a fringe member of the group I was becoming acquainted with, and we honestly had little in common it would seem. Over time I discovered he had many similar interests, habits and he had talents I would come to appreciate. I often find myself in the company of artists, musicians and in the case of Scott, a writer. I would come to enjoy his imagination and creativity almost as much as his dedication and loyalty to his friends. It is in part due to his ability to make diverse friends that I found my way to first meeting my future wife (a story that will play out through a couple more of these profiles). He introduced me to a number of new friends over the years, and was one of a handful of my friends to stand by me through a number of my insane little meltdowns. Though miles separate us now, we stay in contact far more than any of my so called best friends from my teen years. I am still happy to call him a friend, and that is something I know him to be - who else would allow me to drum up intense debates on their facebook wall, pitting his other friends against each other and still not delete me? We shared a number of trials, experiences and times (good and bad) and rarely lost touch for long. Today I am still glad I did not completely brush him off after we first met, and hope to maintain our friendship for years to come (or until I finally find a line that I cant cross and come back from).
