As food and fuel prices continue to increase, the environmental - TopicsExpress

As food and fuel prices continue to increase, the environmental policies of the President now threaten to stop all commercial fishing around Hawaii and the Pacific Coast. This would dramatically cause significantly harm to the residents, is morally unethical, and socially irresponsible. Hawaiians already rely on food and fuel imports to survive. With no local fish being harvested, they would either have to buy from Chinese fishermen or import more food from the mainland. In both cases it would result in higher unemployment and higher food prices, increasing the cost of living, and putting those in the middle and lower income brackets into poverty. The President has clearly sold out to the questionable environmental special interest groups with the threat to ban commercial fishing. If the extreme environmentalist viewpoint in the Administration continues, windmills may potentially be build off the tourist coastline. This would harm the rare birds that are native to Hawaii, along with ruining the scenic sights for tourism. The loss of tourism would further result in greater unemployment and less income, further increasing poverty. In the primary election in Hawaii last month, the incumbent Democrat Governor (a huge Obama ally and recipient of millions of campaign dollars from those outside Hawaii) was overwhelmingly defeated. This is a resounding call to end the oppressive and harmful economic policies and influence of the President. The President may claim to be a “local” but in reality, his environmental and economic policies continue to harm the residents. Hawaiian residents have woken up to the harmful influence and policies that the President and his political supporters have inflicted across the nation. Adding an extra tax for plastic bags (environmental policy to attempt to reduce waste in Hawaii and Maryland) is another example of how the desire to raise “revenue” comes at the expense of those in the lower income brackets. Those who are the higher income brackets tend to shop online or buy reusable bags. Meanwhile, those in the lower income brackets overwhelmingly use plastic bags when buying groceries and shopping in retail stores. As beef and milk prices reach record highs in cost, the President’s ethanol mandate is a clear policy that must be ended. Using corn and other food crops to be wasted in creating a very inefficient fuel source is unethical and socially irresponsible. The President has been receiving millions of dollars in campaign donations to support ethanol since he was a Senator. Here in NJ, we should follow Hawaii and vote out the the President’s political supporters and stop them, before commercial fishing is banned in NJ and windmills are built off our scenic coastlines. Collectively across the Nation, the President’s political supporters will be voted out of office. The people are aware of his horrible, disastrous environmental policies and will hold those elected officials who have blindly supported him accountable this November.
