As hard as you work, as much influence as you have, and as much as you try to plan it all out, there is no way you will be in total control of life. You cannot control the actions or thoughts of others. You can’t control what others say or believe. You can, however, live life as an example and try to influence others in a positive way… A leader who loses sight of this will lose credibility with their peers because when they criticize others for “not listening” or “choosing a different path” it only makes them look, desperate, petty and small. Happy people rise above this by accepting this inevitable truth, that they can’t control everything/everyone and that life doesn’t always revolve around themselves. The greatest leaders I have met are the ones who spend their lives as a light house rather than a tug boat. A lighthouse stands firm on the hill and guides by the light it shines… A tug boat, on the other hand, gets in your face and will drag and push you where IT believes you should go. Remember, everyone is running their own race and life is too short to be anything but happy! Carry on… ツ #Gaudreau #movemynt
