As human beings, weve gradually come to a place where we look down upon fear within a relationship. Fear within a relationship is completely unhealthy. Though it has not always been the case, today, we see it to be intolerable. If one side of the relationship fears the other for any reason, we immediately encourage that person to get out. There is no acceptable reason that fear should exist between a committed relationship. Even with children, I dont think we would want them to only do good because they feared punishment of some sort. And if this is the case...then why should fear exist in your relationship to God? No. Fear has no place where love is authentic and true.
