As is typical to the mind of a science teacher, I used the Scientific Method to figure out the best way to bake our freshly caught mahi mahi and mingo snapper. I wanted to know which would taste better, fish marinated in Worcestershire sauce, Thai sauce, Soy sauce, or Dales steak seasoning sauce. I did not have any Teriyaki sauce, like my friend suggested, which is what prompted my little experiment. As you can see by the photos, I marinated a piece of mahi mahi and a piece of the mingo snapper in each sauce, in four separate bowls, for 15 minutes. I baked them for 20 minutes...they were small pieces. The results? Here is the ranking, from best to worst. 1. GOOD Worcestershire sauce (very mild flavor) 2. GOOD Soy sauce (very mild flavor) 3. BAD Dales seasoning sauce (tastes exactly like Dales...and WAY SALTY!) 4. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE Thai fish sauce (POW! VERY, VERY SALTY!!! Ugh!) Lesson learned...Im going to take Denis advice and get some Teriyaki sauce on the way home.
