As last Saturday, most of my shopping was done at Freeman Street Market today. Although its clearly not what it once was, there is still a good choice of quality meat, poultry, vegetables, etc. The chicken last week was great & good value for money. Todays purchases included a leg of lamb, stuffed belly pork, fresh green beans & cauli plus Boston new potatoes. Very happy not to give Tesco the custom! Whilst I dont like whats been done with the design of the road or pavements, parking was relatively easy behind the market so I walked straight on. No faffing about with multi-storey car parks or walking for miles from a side street. Highly recommended! :-)
