As many are aware, Green Group Holdings, LLC (the Georgia company thats proposing to develop a 17-story mega-landfill at the gateway to our community) had their attorney pay a visit to Commissioners Court this past Monday to deliver a threat to Caldwell County. The closer EPICC gets to stopping the landfill brings out the true nature of this company that otherwise showers us with gifts & buys newspaper ads telling us theyre our friends. Even giving GGH the most extreme benefit of the doubt that every single word that their attorney threatened our elected officials with is true (which is a far cry from accurate), I am deeply disturbed that this out-of-state corporation has come into our dear town and spoken to our friends/neighbors/elected leaders in this manner. Out of respect for our own, lets send a strong, clear message to GGH that its certainly their right to sneak attack the entire community with a mega-landfill, but they will not intimidate Caldwell County into relinquishing our legal rights with bombastic & disrespectful personal attacks. Please call, email, or join us at the next Commissioners Court meeting and thank every one of those elected officials for their service regardless of your (& their) position on the landfill debacle.
