As many may know, Small Paws Rescue is devoted to the rescuing of bichon and bichon mixes across the United States. The number of dogs entering rescue have increased significantly. Mistreatment and abandonments are causing medical costs to skyrocket. Even a dog without special medical needs can cost $400-600 for regular vetting. I am reaching out to ask for help for this great group. Maybe you can skip that Starbucks stop this week and send it to Small Paws --- to help the babies we love so much. Give these fluff balls a chance at a better life. (Geez, now I sound like the SPCA TV Spots - Sorry) Right now, there is a very urgent medical need. 11 month old little Bentley was rescued 9/23/14 from a shelter near Chicago. He was in danger because he has a broken front elbow. He is in pain and needs surgery. Please help us to save that leg. Hes just a baby and so very sweet. The thing about this particular surgery is that it needs to be done as soon as possible after the injury, so time is not on our side this time. We dont know what happened to him, but it was some kind of trauma. He will end up being a blessing to someone where he can give and receive love, and it will be easier to place him with four working legs.
