As many of my Mellow Moods customers will know I lost my mum about 18 months ago suddenly after many years of ill health. She loved her visits to Australia from the UK, loving the wildlife, flora and fauna. She fell in love with lemon myrtle and stock piled soaps, oils etc to take home with her. Lemon myrtle products are not available in the UK. I have always wanted to be able to make lemon myrtle candles and have finally found the fragranced oil to do them with. Lemon myrtle essential oil is very hard to find as a few years ago orchid bulbs were smuggled into Australia bringing with them a rust/mould that has effected our native eucalypt plants. This has meant that only so much can be harvested ensuring that there is sufficient to restore future harvests. The oil i am using is a fragranced oil which is a synthetic and essential oil blend. The fragrance throw is amazing. This means we can enjoy the candles without impacting our native plants. I cant wait to have them to sell from this weekend.
