As many of my friends at Kalitta Air know by now, I have resigned from employment as of October 20. My intentions when back problems emerged in 2012 with subsequent surgery, that as soon as my surgeon says all is good to get back to work for a while longer, that I would be back among you again by now. However, back to work is no longer possible with further deterioration of spinal issues along with medication. I have had good relations with everyone that I have encountered at Kalitta since first setting foot on the property in 1987. I am grateful for the experience over the 25 years of active involvement in Connies worldwide airline operation. Particularly satisfying, was the years crewing the DC-8 as captain including duration of the first Gulf War. Many friends I have shared the skies with over the years - have passed on, moved to other companies, retired, or simply disappeared. To all of them and to all still working at the company, I take my hat off to everyone for the shared moments. I make this promise...I wont disappear! You will see my presence on facebook from from time to time. Ill be looking over your shoulders Captains and First Officers - afterall, I was a Flight Engineer for the most part through my 45 year flying career..
