As many of you already know, we are working hand in hand with a small town country shelter that has zero funding, zero medical help and only one person (a volunteer) who is networking and trying to get these dogs out. Though it is financially and emotionally draining, it has become a labor of love. The Assumption Parish Animal Shelter is in a very remote swamp town and because what brings it close to my heart is the fact that I (Tia Torres) have taken up residence here and cannot drive past this little place without helping. We are doing our best to get the sick dogs to our vet and find others homes. But there are still orphans left behind that are DESPERATE to find a home. In addition to looking for home for our Villalobos dogs, we will keep posting the Assumption Parish dogs as well.
