As many of you know I have spent the last year and 9 days selling new cars at Jim Norton Toyota here in Tulsa. It has been a wild adventure and an experience I will be forever grateful for. Ive learned new skills and honed raw talents that will make me better at everything I put my hand to for the rest of my life. I have forged meaningful relationships that I hope will carry on throughout the future. However, as of today I have officially resigned my position at the dealership and moving into new territories. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity the leadership team at Jim Norton Toyota afforded me and for the investments they have made in into my life. The life of a car salesman can often be difficult. It is a constant grind marked by long long hours, high highs, and low lows. They work holidays and weekends; they come in early and stay late. They are snubbed and ignored by customers, but keep smiling and do everything they can for them. They are often looked down on by society and labeled as shady and dishonest when they are only trying to feed their families. They know that buyers are the real liars and that for every dishonest salesperson out there there are 10 lying customers, but they continue to smile and greet them with a firm handshake. When I first started selling cars I was ashamed to tell people, now I am ashamed I ever felt that way. I am a car salesman and I will always carry that as a badge of honor because some of the best, most honest, loyal, and kindhearted people I know wear the same badge.
