As many of you know, I was rehospitalized on Monday, July 29. I had another small surgery on Wednesday, July 31 to "wash out" the left side of my chest and the tissue expander was replaced. The culture results have started to appear and I have been diagnosed with MRSA, Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus. This is basically a "super" germ that could make you very ill. I will be in hospital until Monday when everything for home health can be set up. The IV antibiotics that I have received since Sunday are working :-) I will need to continue the antibiotics for about 6 weeks ... This is a lot of information and now my brain is hurting :-) :-)
