As many of you know, prior to returning to Los Angeles to pursue the completion of my degree in Chinese Medicine, I sang professionally with San Diego Opera, and several community music groups and orchestras around Southern California. I am pleased to announce that in November, I will step in front of another wonderful ensemble for the first time in 8 years, as one of the soloists with êkō, the chamber ensemble of the Los Robles Master Chorale, performing in Handels baroque masterpiece, Messiah. Performing the piece in the more intimate manner the composer intended, the 40-voice ensemble êkō will sing movements from all three of the oratorios sections, with soloists, organ and continuo on Saturday, November 15 at The Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park. On Sunday, the matinee performance will feature the soloists from the Saturday performance, with YOU as the choir, bring your scores (or buy one there) and join in the music and fun in this holiday tradition.
