As many of you may know, I have a sincere interest in helping people combat obesity as it impacts so many and often affects the health and longevity of people in our very own families. Today I came across an article titled Why We Need Medications For Obesity and in it the author makes the following statement: "To use an analogy: if there were no pharmacological treatments for hypertension or diabetes and the only treatment was an operation, most people would still be dying of heart disease and other complications that are now perfectly preventable and treatable because we have a large armamentum of anti-hypertensive and anti-diabetic medications."
