As many of you may know, I operate a nonprofit equine rescue called Shooting Star. We always need volunteers and rely solely on donations for the care of the horses. Im brainstorming about putting together a fundra iser in Sept. to help meet our expenses and would appreciate input. A very talented young woman from Germany will be staying with me then to do training and she also plays guitar & sings. .even cut a CD. Shes interested in doing something to help the rescue. Im thinking of something like finding an eating/drinking venue that might allow us to have her perform & maybe a silent auction for a fundraising event.Any suggestions/connections on locations? Also, with such talent here, itd be great to have another person or two also playing.. Anyone able to spare a few hours for a good cause? And lastly, anyone interested in a challenge or good at trying to help make this happen?
