As many of you may or may not know, my friend Terry Higgins lives in a very upscale neighborhood of the deed restricted type, he also hires great entertainment to play his parties if you dont mind me saying, but thats not what this post is really about.. the other day when I was driving through his neighborhood I accidentally hit a cat some lady was chasing down the driveway in her nightgown. Needless to say I seen the lady, but I didnt see the cat! I reluctantly stopped because I didnt know what to say about killing her cat. she was hysterically screaming how I just killed some rare breed called a Piterbald valued over $1200. Look it up, apparently they are a cross between an oriental shorthair and a donskoy. The latter of which I had never heard of. She seemed more concerned with the value of the cat than the fact I just killed her pet still lying on the pavement quivering with its eyes rolled back in its head. I was beside myself on what to do and almost gave Terry a call, but frankly I was rather embarrassed over the whole situation. she kept going on about how she had a buyer for the cat who had already given her $100 retainer and was coming to pick it up next week. I told her I didnt have that kind of money, but pulled out my wallet and handed her the $97 I had on me. she practically snatched it out of my hand! About that time a Manatee County Sheriff pulled up as a result of a neighbor complaint about the commotion on the street. He asked what was going on and I proceeded to tell him how I just gave that lady all the money I had on me to calm her down after hitting her cat. He said apparently this isnt the first time theyve been called to the neighborhood over a similar inccident still in litigation, got me my money back, and arrested the lady. Im not trying to give Terry a bad reputation for the neighborhood he lives in is still very nice, but this was crazy! Im still quite shook about the whole incident. Was wondering if Terry or any of his other friends Rob McNeal, Effie Confer,, Charlotte Lanier, Sam Densler, Christopher Kling, Hawaiian Bryan Confer, Ed Robinson know anything about what is going on over there???
