As mentioned yesterday, it looks like over the next few days we are going to be returning to the pattern we saw earlier in the season. Periods of milder, wetter and windier conditions interspersed with colder/cooler and more showery spells, where showers may turn wintry, especially to northern hills but to some lower levels and a bit further south at times. Still the risk of some frost and ice during any colder and calmer spells. Late month into early February may bring some wet and windy conditions followed by a stronger cold north/north west flow, increasing the risk of wintry precipitation further. One to watch.
