As more information about this case comes out, it is beginning to appear that supporters of the father, not the Cobb County Police, were the ones to rush to a conclusion. Seems as though the murder charge some internet supporters want dropped might be what is in order after all (imagine that: the people who know more of the information, the investigators, might actually know more than the people who can only read news reports and are not investigating the case). Could it be that at least some of the internet supporters of this father were reacting more to a self assured belief that no parent would ever harm their own child like this intentionally? Could it be that others have a deep seated belief that the police are always out to arrest and punish the wrong person? No doubt, some really support this father, and believe he is also a victim. Only time, and a trial, will tell one way or another if this father murdered his child. What I find most interesting, however, is that over 11,000 people signed an internet petition to drop murder charges against this father before all the facts were in. What about the child who died a horrible death by heatstroke? Where is the petition to support this child, to make sure that if it was intentional that his murderer doesnt get away scot-free? Hmmm . . . that does make one wonder . . .
