As most of you know, I am not a real active facebook user and I apologize for not giving as many updates as I should. Although I do have great family and friends who have done so and I appreciate it very much. Let me first say that the outpouring of concern and the response from my family and friends has been wonderful and extremely humbling. It is times like these that has given me a much greater perspective on not only my life and my families life but also the great network of individuals who have shown care and concern for our family. It has been a great source of support and my words of thanks cant match what has been given. Thank you all so very much! As for the family update, Michael my son was released on Thursday afternoon and is doing fine. Very stiff and sore (cant run yet and that is killing him for those who know him!), but moving better every day. He has been staying at his cousin Jackson Tuptas house and has been very well taken care of!! Special thanks and love to the Tuptas for their support! My daughter Megan broke both of her arms but is doing well. Her spirit and attitude have been amazing. She will probably be released tomorrow. My wife Dana is progressing slowly but surely. I think we counted 15 or so broken bones in her body (all in her arms and legs). Had lots of surgery on Wednesday and Thursday and is having some more tomorrow to fix a foot and wrist. Fortunately the airbag and seat belt did exactly what they should do and her torso, spine and head were relatively unscathed. Although the ER doctor at Froedert said that he has rarely if ever seen anyone with such extremity damage and no head/torso damage. Usually it is all together. She is getting a blood transfusion today due to low red blood cell counts with all of her broken bones. Her spirits are good and she is unbelievably strong. She is going to be out of work for many months and will be in a wheelchair for a couple of months as well. It is a long road of recovery ahead but the doctor said that a full recovery should happen. It is also very amazing to watch my wife and kids get thru this. There is no pity party with the Griffith family! Very focused and determined. No complaining or why me. We are moving ahead. That does make it a lot easier with the great support that we have had from our friends and family. Thank you all again for the outpouring of support. It means a lot to our family.
