As most of you know, I was adopted when I was 6 weeks old and have no knowledge of my true ethnicity. My mother always told me I was English and Irish, French and German, kind of like they were. Well, my sister Becky Hay Turner recently gave me an Ancestry DNA kit and I got the results yesterday. I am: British - 35%; Irish - 21%; Scandinavian - 17%; Western European - 10%; Iberian peninsula - 7%; and 6% trace made up of 2% Eastern European, 2% European Jew, and less than 1% each of Italian/Greek and Finish/Russian. There is also 2% from Northern Africa, like Morocco, and 2% from Western Asia. Thank you, Becky, for your generous gift! I have a lot of learning now to do about who I really am! Love you!!
