As most of you know, my Dad has been battling stage 4 lung cancer for almost two years (the type of cancer he was diagnosed with is rare, slow growing and non - aggressive) Our family received the most wonderful news yesterday....my Dads CT scan looked really good which surprised us since we decided to stop chemo treatments several months ago. (We were curious if the lung cancer had worsen and spread) His pneumonia was better and the oncologist said he didnt see any sign of cancer! He further stated, Dad may have never had lung cancer!!! I always felt in my heart that the biopsy results may not be accurate because the first lung biopsy results were negative and then the physicians sent everything to New York and those results were positive. Coming from a specialist and the opinions of multiple physicians, Dad made the decision of chemotherapy. It has been a long and difficult journey since his diagnosis. Many times we thought we were going to lose him throughout these two years. This is a true blessing!!!!! Although, physicians believe he may have never had lung cancer, our family still needs your prayers! Dad is very weak and still lives in the nursing home (maybe the effects of chemotherapy, we will never know) I pray he gets stronger and is able to come home! He is the rock of our entire family and we love him so much!
