As most of you may know all the generous gifts and donations have successfully been delivered to our family in Wounded Knee. We connected with several families along the way and learned many valuable lessons on the journey. We learned to slow down in moments of urgency. We learned to listen to our hearts. We learned to trust and communicate clearly. All monetary donations are being held until everything is properly set up to transfer to the appropriate council. Most of the goods and donations were left with community leader & elder, Leona One Feather (Auntie). After speaking with Auntie we gained clarity as far as how we can continue to support the community of Wounded Knee, as well as our own, by continuing to strengthen that bridge that exists between us and nurturing this relationship. Stay tuned for a video response from her and the Anishinaabe horseback riders who we were blessed to talk with who are currently riding to protest the building of the Keystone Pipeline to prevent further damage of our water and resources and promote the healing of our mother, earth.
