As most of you might have heard there was an incident at the bar last night and the paramedics were called. I really can’t say much, but there was an altercation between a few patrons and one of them ended up getting punched in the face. The man fell backwards, hit his head, and was knocked out. After about 2 ½ minutes the man opened his eyes, and sort of regained consciousness. At that time the police arrived. The man was obviously hurt but he denied medical attention. By this time the Woody’s Crew had cleared out the bar from all patrons except for the two friends. The two friends tried to get their buddy to stand up to take him home. When the man attempted to stand up he started vomiting. So again we called the paramedics and finally he agreed to seek medical attention. The paramedics arrived and talked with him quite a while before they tried to load him into the ambulance. When they finally moved him into the ambulance it sat there for at least another half an hour before driving off. That is all I know as of the man’s condition at this time. THE RUMORS ABOUT SOMEBODY GETTING SHOT ARE NOT TRUE! There was no weapon involved. As some of you may know we have a strict no fighting policy. . I hope this does not discourage you from coming to our establishment, but let it be known we do not tolerate violence, if you fight in on our property you will be 86 for life. The people involved in this incident are never to step foot on to the Woodys Tavern property again. All I have left to say to them is I hope it was worth it. The ripple effect of so many lives all starts with that one decision, that moment of choice that everybody has to either do this or just walk away. The saying “sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.” Have you ever herd of that? People when someone is getting on your nerves or you have some sort of disagreement walk away. DONT JUST HAUL OFF AND PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE! There is not a single word or phrase that someone could say to you that would justify you punching them in the face. The only person in this world that can make you mad is you. We all have a CHOICE. A choice to either get mad & pissed off and get into a fight, or just let it go and walk away. The choices we make have catastrophic effects on not just our own lives, but also the lives of everyone. Stop the macho tuff guy bullshit and think about what you are doing before you go and start a series of unfortunate events. And just to let you know, you made the wrong choice. I hope this gets through to you, the ones who think its ok to go out, get drunk, and punch someone just because they looked at you wrong. Grow up or stay out.
