As much as I am proud of her for going to study her Masters Degree at Harvard, Lindiwe had fallen out of favour with her party. Furthermore, the are people in the DA who complained about her leadership style as a parliamentary leader. There were already people who wanted to see her out of that position, last year already. This is politics!! Lindiwe knew that the numbers were not working for her as she would have had to get voted into the position of being the parliamentary leader of the DA. It was not gonna be given be to her on a silver platter. Remember Lindiwe had a fall out with Helen Zille regarding the BEE and Employment Equity Bill that Lindiwe supported in parliament last year. Also, Lindiwes absence during the DAs election campaign tells you a story as the new Golden Boy Little Obama of Gauteng was favoured over her. We were not born yesterday. Lindiwe was not prepared to take up a lesser position in the DAs parliamentary caucus. Hence she decided to jump and run to the US and study at Harvard.
