As much as I love me a good pandemic scare, heres why you dont need to worry about Ebola here in the first world, with our robust (albeit fiscally dysfunctional) healthcare system. Mainly its a very difficult disease to catch. You basically have to come into *direct* contact with infected bodily fluids. Like getting infected blood or saliva in your eyes or mouth, or puncturing your skin with a dirty needle. Here in the US we dont typically touch dead people. In West Africa, physical contact between humans is much more common, whereas here thats seem as weird and am invasion of personal space. Also, were obsessed with cleanliness. At a funeral in west Africa, touching the body is a normal part of the grieving process, whereas here we just kind of look at them on our way to the punch and cookies. So direct your energy towards sending whatever good vibrations you can to the humans in Sierra Leon, Liberia, and Guinea who are really suffering and living in legitimate fear and dont worry about whats happening in Dallas. Unless it mutates and becomes airborne **shudders** which it almost definitely wont.
