As my 5 year old asked while at a public restaurant, Mom can we PRAY Remember we need to have pray and give thanks for our food. It saddens me to say I had mixed emotions. I felt my heart leap with gratitude that he is learning and wanting to be close to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. On the other hand I was crawling in my skin thinking. Is this a good time to teach him we dont pray in public for our food! STOP: Where in the world had I learned that? When did I start fearing men instead of God and why would I teach my child that? So Today im grateful for a little 5 year old boy who taught me to fear God and stop worrying what men think of me. Heavenly Father thank you for children, the blessings received and lessons learned from them are more then I deserve and for that I am eternally grateful.
