As my AMAZING coach Tammy Streich Wbff Pro always preaches to her girls...... You always need to know your Why! Why do u compete? What is your ultimate goal? What is your journey? Well....after my experience at Worlds.....I can truly say that my Why has somewhat changed. I got some of the best advice in my fitness career from one of my absolute biggest fitness inspirations Chelcea Gonzales Wbff Pro at Worlds. She told me that placings arent what define us as successful athletes. We are going against the most amazing physiques in the entire world...and we are all Professionals now.....but only 3 people will place. Our success as an athlete is what we do 24/7 aside from the stage. Wow....talk about an Ah ha moment. Im still reflecting on this thought weeks later. As the most competitive human on the entire planet.....my why has always been to win & be the best. Now, I still absolutely want to win & be the best......but more importantly for me now......is to be the person that I say I am. For most people......all people know of us is what we say we are on social networking. One of the suckiest things to experience... is to meet someone u really look up to that seems so inspiring on social networking.....only to find out that they really arent very friendly, or kind at all in person. I know this FIRST HAND. I have met a LOT of big fitness stars that I used to just adore & be so inspired by.....only to find out that they werent anything like that in real life. Well.....this has just jumped into the front of the line for my Why. I want more than ANYTHING else.....to be even more than people imagined from only knowing me online. I want to be the person I always say that I am. Most people seek social network fame.....I seek people being blown away by my character. Thats it. That is where it is at for me. It is a dark, selfish world.....so if I can be just ONE BRIGHT LIGHT...then awesome. My job is done. THAT is what would make me a CHAMPION. Always know your Why?
