As of January 1st, we no longer have a $30 co-pay on our medical insurance. Other than covered screenings, the office visit will go straight towards our $1000 deductible and max out of pocket, which is somewhere around $2300 pp. Covered preventive medication will now be covered at 100%, all other meds will still be covered at the 5/25/50 co-pay. Wow, Im in shock, I dont know what an office call costs, I do know my first visit to my new neurologist was just under $300. Now kids are covered, regardless of student status, up to age 26. Seriously??!!! So they can sit home on their lazy a$$es, not work and theyre covered. Good deal. Dental is changing, vision too. A couple of enhancements, to make us feel better about the rest of it. Oh, did I mention our rates are going up? I guess it could be far worse, we could have none. No need to respond, Im venting.
