As of January 6 2015, Stanley will be at USP Canaan in Waymart, Pennsylvania. LETTERS He would appreciate hearing from friends and supporters. You can write to him at: Stanley Cohen 19846-052 USP Canaan U.S. Penitentiary Satellite Camp P.O. Box 200 Waymart, PA 18472 Be sure to write his name and registration number as well as your name and address on the OUTSIDE of the envelope AND on the letter itself (mail may be delivered without the envelope). Be aware that all his mail will be read by prison officials before it is delivered. Do not enclose anything in the envelope other than a letter and (if desired) non-polaroid photographs. While you cannot include articles or anything else torn out of a newspaper or magazine, you can print out or photocopy it and write your letter on the other side. It’s also a good idea to number the pages (1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc), so he will know if a page is missing. Inmates are not allowed to receive gifts or packages by mail. DONATIONS If you’d like to contribute to his commissary fund (which he can use to buy stamps, food and other items as well as pay for telephone calls), you can send it by United States Postal Money order with his name and number written on the money order itself and on the outside of the envelope: Stanley Cohen 19846-052 Money can NOT be sent directly to the prison. Do not enclose it in a letter. Money orders must be sent separately, with nothing else enclosed in the envelope. You must include your name and return address on the top left corner of the envelope. Mail to the federal lockbox at: Federal Bureau of Prisons Stanley Cohen 19846-052 Post Office Box 474701 Des Moines, Iowa 50947-0001 It is also possible to send funds via Western Union or MoneyGram. Details on how to do that are here: bop.gov/inmates/communications.jsp#money VISITS The facility limits the visits the prisoners can receive to four per month. In addition, all visitors must be pre-screened by the BOP which includes an NCIC inquiry. Stanley needs to initiate the process by mailing you some paperwork from inside and he’ll need your full name and mailing address to be able to do that, so start by writing to him with that information and letting him know you’d like to visit. There is a maximum of 10 friends and associates that he is allowed to have on his approved visitors list at any one time, so please understand that we will need to coordinate to some degree. Visits by members of the media have a different process. Please be in touch if you’d like to arrange an interview.
