As of July 16, 2014 12:30 am • According to PAGASA, Public Storm Warning Signal No. 3 is in effect over Metro Manila, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Quezon including Polillo Islands and Alabat Island, Marinduque, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Burias and Ticao Islands, Cavite, Bulacan, Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales. Typhoon Glenda gained strength as it now has maximum sustained winds of 150 kph. As of 10 45 p.m. Tuesday the eye or center of Typhoon Glenda was at 65 km southeast of Alabat, Quezon. It is crossing the Ragay Gulf and moving toward southern Quezon. Glenda is moving west northwest at 19 kph. Typhoon Glenda is expected to cross Metro Manila before noon tomorrow and exit the Luzon landmass via Zambales by Wednesday evening. Signal No. 2 was raised over southern Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Romblon, Masbate, the northern parts of Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island, and Northern Samar. Signal No. 1 is over Aurora, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, La Union, the rest of Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro, Biliran, northern Cebu including Cebu City, Camotes Islands, and Bantayan Island, the northern part of Leyte, Eastern Samar, and Samar. Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere were lowered. •
