As of March 5th, I am officially a flight attendant for American Airlines. Ive done my 6 month probationary period. I cant believe its gone by so fast...time flys...pun intended. Just want to thank everyone for being there for me through the ups and downs these past 9 months. I was, at times, like a deer in headlights with galley work, different airports, broke as a joke, taking a daring move to do international flying after only knowing the S80 in DFW, full of questions and just like a sponge just absorbing all the great advice you all have given me about the industry.Teri Ramirez your guidance from the very beginning when I met you on my flight back to Chicago from my medical exam before training has been invaluable. Nathan Sackett your support during my interview by picking me up at DFW airport and giving me that last minute pep talk really helped me walk into that interview with clarity.Sean Follo helping me keep it together and there for me when I fell apart. I love you. From early on I saw that in this industry integrity, teamwork, responsibility, communication and just simply having each others backs was a reason why I knew I would love this career, put into it equally and most importantly grow as a person from it. It runs by Murphys law and karmic law. You get an instant family each sequence lol. Sorry I know this sounds like an Oscar acceptance speech but I am accepting this new career. Yes!!! I made it!! Class 13-23 you wait and see. Now I can take a deep breath in. But I just wanted to say thanks...thank you everyone...lol.
