As of late, weve been very interested in the success of German weightlifters. Primarily due to the fact that Germany has the most strict drug testing protocol of any nation, and prides themselves on being drug free. That being said, they produce some remarkable lifters, with (as one would expect from Germans) flawless technique, of which much can be learned. In this video, Coach Johann Martin, explains the clean pull. Now while its in German, and my German is limited, our Assistant coach Eric Hoeckberg translated and its the same as we teach: NO shrugging, but using your legs and body to drive the weight up and vertical with your arms and shoulders relaxed.
