As of this morning we only had about 100 classmates who have actually voted. I encourage everyone to take a couple of minutes and go to usna/99election to cast your vote. For those who do not already know, I am running for Class President on the ’99 Ticket’. I know some have classified the ‘ticket’ approach as clique-ish, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. The group of individuals represented on the ’99 ticket’ (Liesel, Dave, Lauren, Steve and I) are motivated, passionate, and above all else excited about the chance to represent ’99. If given the opportunity to lead the class, I will ensure everyone on the board is committed to an inclusive and collaborative approach around conducting Class business. We do not want to create barriers; we want to solicit participation from everyone and ensure our legacy is truly a Class effort. Although the outgoing class officers have done an honorable job over the past 15 years, I think it is time for a fresh approach, filled with renewed excitement and high expectations. To prevent this post from being too long, I posted some of our ideas in the comments below. I ask for your support in this election as well as the support for the diverse and talented individuals on the ’99 ticket’ (dont forget you also get our classmate Amy Mills Woodward with your vote, she helped write this).
