As our nation remembers the victims of war this Memorial Day weekend, Pope Francis seeks to sow peace during his visit in the Middle East. We are praying for him and for all the people in that troubled region. As he said today, “Building peace is difficult, but living without peace is a constant torment. The men and women of these lands, and of the entire world, all of them, ask us to bring before God their fervent hopes for peace. Amen.
