As part of my job. I deal with company chiefs and head honchos on a daily basis. As I look at the successful entrepreneurs and big bosses that Ive had the privilege to work with, there is one common trait that i saw. I noticed that beneath any perceived veneer of shrewdness and/or cunning belies a more basic ingredient of long term success, that is, Kindness, to their family, business partners, staff and friends! Is it because of success that they are kind? Or could it be that this kindness was in the blood and was the very ingredient of their success? Afterall business is a compettitive yet collaborative world. To fight a war, we need an army. Having a huge army means nothing if your generals are selfish and disloyal. The ability to collaborate and form meaningful relationships with their subordinates, based on kindness is still a better bet than outright slash and burn or immediate mileage in a transactional relationship. I believe in kindness. Do you? Lets pay it forward this Christmas season. Have a great day everyone! Steven Seah Ssagroup Jay Lee Derek Lim Geok Chwee
