As part of the CCOP Sunday Sep. 21, 2014 worship service Lost and Found Series 3/7 - The Lost Son, the very talented duo of Ms. Rae Roberts & Mr. Marvin Deaton sang a duet entitled Through the Fire with lyrics and music that were originally composed and published by the famous Gospel singer & composer Mr. Gerald Crabb in 2000. The entire worship service including their duet was recorded by the CCOP A/V volunteers, which I believe were Erick Johnson and Robert Boswell? Rae gave me the CD that CCOP published after the worship service today Sep. 28, 2014. Many thanks to Rae, Marvin, and all of the CCOP volunteers and staff for their assistance in producing this recording; and also thanks to Rev. Kendall Guthrie for his always inspiring sermons. Well after I extracted the audio file from the CD and performed some audio editing and engineering, I was naive enought to think that I could just upload the edited audio file to FB and include it in this post. Wrong! I next found out that FB doesnt allow audio files to be uploaded; just photos and video files (go figure!). So not to be thwarted I next created a movie with photos that I took at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA at the height of the azelea bloom in April 2008 and added the duet as a sound track. I really appreciate good singing because I simply have never been able to sing very well. The last time I tried to sing a popular song at a Karaoke bar in southern Indiana the entire bar was evacuated in less than 5 minutes, which was an all-time record LOL! So Ive found my calling as a fledgling amateur audio & video engineer instead. Hopefully you will be enjoy this humble production and be uplifted by their beautiful voices! The resulting product is attached for your listening & viewing pleasure.
