As per the request of the police I will not use my normal heading with this news , it is obvious who perpetuated The City of Burlington Police Department along with the Willingboro Township Police Department made several arrests regarding two robberies of elderly women that occurred within the past week in both jurisdictions. Working collectively, a total of four (4) arrests were made, three (3) of which were for Robbery along with Bias Intimidation. Through the investigation, it was found that the suspects identified waited outside of banks targeting elderly females to leave the bank, at which point they followed the elderly woman to their destination and robbed them once they parked. The details of the investigation are as follows: On Thursday, October 30, 2014, at approximately 1:52pm, the City of Burlington Police Department was dispatched to the parking area in the rear of the 200 Block of High Street for a report of a female who was just pushed down and her purse stolen. The purse contained the victim’s wallet along with U.S. Currency. The 74 year old victim sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. During the on scene investigation by city detectives, it was found that she was followed by the suspects from a bank on Route 130 in Willingboro Township into the parking lot where she parked and was subsequently robbed. Utilizing the security cameras recently purchased by the City of Burlington, photographs of the suspect vehicle was publicized in an attempt to locate the same. On Monday, November 3, 2014, at approximately 3:07pm, the Willingboro Township Police Department was dispatched to a residence on Balfour Lane for a report of an 84 year old female who was just robbed and sustained injuries. The female was just returning from a bank and also appeared to be followed home. The victim suffered a broken collarbone and swelling around her eye. Through the initial investigation, it appeared that this incident appeared to be connected to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the Beneficial Bank in the area of Sunset and Salem Road in Burlington Township. An alert bank employee was able to get a license plate number of a 1991 Honda that appeared to be the vehicle sought by the City of Burlington Police Department. Burlington Township Officers responded and joined the investigation in an effort to locate the vehicle. Later in the evening on November 3rd, at approximately 7:35pm, officers from the City of Burlington spotted the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of High Street and Library Street. The occupants of the vehicle were detained. The driver was identified as Nikko Taylor, Age 18, of Willingboro, and the Passenger was identified as Nikko’s uncle, Charles Omar Taylor, Age 37, of Willingboro. During the on-scene investigation, it was found that Charles Taylor was wanted by the Edgewater Park Township Police Department for an Eluding charge stemming from an incident that occurred on October 16, 2014. Charles Taylor was found to have the victim’s prescription medication from the High Street Robbery incident on his person during his arrest. Mr. Taylor was charged with Receiving Stolen Property from the property found on his person and turned over to Edgewater Park Township Police, and subsequently lodged in the Burlington County Jail. The third individual in the vehicle was a female from Roebling, NJ. She was not charged with any offense related to the robberies. The vehicle was then towed and a search warrant was obtained for the vehicle. Willingboro Township Police Detectives also responded to the city to conduct the joint-investigation with the City of Burlington. Evidence from both robberies was found in the vehicle during the search. The next day, Tuesday, November 4, 2014, the other suspect in Willingboro Township’s Robbery, identified as Chartay Taylor, Age 25 was arrested in Willingboro Township. Evidence from the Burlington City Robbery was recovered at a residence in the Twin Hills Section of the Township. On Thursday, November 6, 2014, the suspect in the Burlington City Robbery, identified as Cory Bell, Age 25, of Willingboro, NJ, was arrested in Westampton Township with assistance from the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department Fugitive Unit and the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force. Cory Bell was charged with Robbery and Bias Intimidation. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $100,000 No 10% Bail. Chartay Taylor and Nikko Taylor are charged from the Willingboro Township Robbery and are lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $100,000 No 10% Bail.
