As positive and uplifting as the modeling world has been to me, I knew at some point, something shady was bound to happen. I just never knew it was going to be THIS shady. The level of unprofessionalism in this situation is ridiculous and unacceptable in business overall, in my opinion. After weeks of being hyped up for an opportunity to go to the Virgin Islands to model on the runway (even being given an agreement and research started on looking into accommodations) myself and another model were notified that there may be a budget issue and everything was put on hold a couple of days ago. This morning, we have basically been given the boot, due to this event hosts newly-hired publicists recommendation. She (the publicist) feels like more well known faces should be modeling in this show, rather than the CURRENT Miss Plus Top Model 2014, or the runner-up, Miss Plus Top Model Runway 2014. Did I forget to mention that this lovely publicist is actually last years Miss Plus Top Model winner? Yes, the SAME woman who crowned me! So instead of a positive, sisterhood of one woman helping to support another womans potential growth in this industry and helping her get her name out there (as the majority do for one another), she basically dropped us because in her opinion, theres other well-known faces shed rather have. Good luck on your budget for having these well-knowns - remember, theyve been in the industry longer and they wont settle for free - theyre going to want to get paid...hows that for watching your budget? And it seems like you dont even have a line up of well-known faces quite yet, so when youre struggling to have a model fill in for someone you cant count on, dont expect me to jump at the offer. Publicity works BOTH ways sweetheart - remember that! And as far as your invitation to have me and the other model come back for NEXT years show (you know, when our faces will be more well known by then), Id rather model anywhere else with a stiletto up my ass while walking down a runway than be fooled by your unprofessionalism and complete BS again. #idonttakeanybullshit #yourloss #BIGmistake
