As proud as I am in the accomplishments we made this year with the fan films we released it was a tough road paved with a VAST amount of responsibility. A tremendous amount of responsibility that fell on me and ONLY me, Cisco Davis, Jr. Thats it. Not anyone else. Especially not the ones who took the time out of their schedules to be a part of something I put together. Why bring this up do you ask? Im speaking out about this due to learning about the harassment of MMPR fan film actor Ricky Barksdale. I have been very tight-lipped and kept my comments close to the vest with regards to the MMPR project. I can understand the frustration people may feel about the project but it isnt very Ranger-like to issue threats against anyone. To the frustrated MMPR supporters Im sorry things came to this with the delays and lack of communication from the MMPR camp but you must understand that the cast and crew arent to blame. I dont condone that sort of behavior. Neither should you guys. Were better than that. To those who are frustrated listen up. Because this is our opportunity to band together as true fans. MMPR isnt the only fan film on the block. Neither is Zordon of Eltar: A Power Rangers Fan Film! Youve got Power Rangers: Zenith on the horizon, Morphin Origins and March Of The Dragon - Film! And probably more! Thats all Im aware of. Instead of bannering yourself around one project lets gather around them ALL and get our hopes up for a future paved with fan interpretations of our beloved childhood franchise. Thats something I can get behind. To Ricky, Im sorry you had to go through this and I look forward to your now work. Especially your forthcoming Blade fan film!
