As she sat on the bench, waiting for a sign in the dark, the street light slowly dimmed. The wind stopped and all Earth was still. We watched and waited. Then... she appeared. She appeared from the darkness with her head hung low. She walked up the street silently. She stopped by the dim street light and looked up at the girl on the bench. The girl on the bench cried and sobbed for what she thought had happened came true. The woman under the street light looked up at the light then back at the girl... and smiled. She then closed her eyes slowly and faded into the midnight wind.
