As some are aware we recently lost our old doggie Coral, now dont get me wrong we loved her dearly & did all we possible could to give her as much time in as much comfort as we could, her final journey was free from stress & fear as she was put into a final sleep on her own bed at home. We felt we owed it to her to ensure her remains were treated with respect & care so we had her cremated individually at a specialist. The part I find difficult to justify is why they charge so MUCH.. the vet charged £136 & the pet Crem £170..ok the crem. part was our choice but the vets charges I find a bit heartless to charge that amount to PTS an old frail dog in her own home to avoid her being frightened. We dont begrudge her this final dignity but I do think some services Vets perform could be done as a service at cost.
